20 Day
Overland Camping Safari
Day 1 : On
arrivals at Entebbe airport, you'll be met by
our company representative and transferred to
J-Courts or Savannah campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: after breakfast take a
mountain bike ride to the famous botanical gardens
to few over a hundred endangered tree species,
bird watching and visit the Uganda wildlife educational
center. Dinner and overnight at J-courts or Savannah
campsite
Day 3: After early breakfast
take 6 hours drive to the Murchison Falls National
Park. Have a lunch stop at Masindi town arrive
Murchison falls National Park in the evening.
Unpack and camp on Red chilli campsite. Light
the fire.
Day 4: Early morning game drive
cross the Nile at Paara by ferry to embark on
a guided game drive and walk with the game ranger.
A drive at the Delta will probably yield; Leopard,
Lion, Elephant, Hartebeest, Oribi, Rothschild
Giraffe and many more. After lunch take a memorable
launch cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the
falls as you view game at close quarters. This
is the best bet for Crocodile and Hippo and if
lucky , the whale headed (Shoebill) Stork. Return
to Paara Tour the magnificent top of the falls
where the Nile is crammed into a cleft in the
rift valley falling below in a series of cascades.
Take pictures at the Baker's summit and visit
the bat caves. Unpack at top of the falls, light
the fire, drinks and lots of fun Overnight @ top
of the falls.
Day 5: After breakfast depart
for Kibaale forest National Park, we'll take the
Western scenic route over looking Lake Albert
via Hoima and a lunch break in Fort Portal town
which is 34 kms from the Main Park. Arrive early
evening for meals and overnight at the camp. Light
the fire.
Day 6: After morning Breakfast,
start a half day Forest Eco primate walk. Look
out for primates like Chimpanzee, Black and white
Colubus monkey, Grey cheecked Mangabeys, Bird
life and Plant life is abundant here. In the afternoon,
take a swamp walk in Magombe forest for more closer
encounter with nature. Return to the camp and
overnight. Night forest walks are also done here.
Day 7: Depart for Queen Elizabeth
National Park. En Route , taking scenic photos
of the Mount Rwenzori we'll have lunch in Kasese
town . Head down to Queen Elizabeth physically
cross the Equator take pictures and then enter
through the main gates just in time for dinner
. Camp and overnight.
Day 8: Early morning game drive
as this is the best time for an opportunity to
view the cats in action. Back for lunch, In the
afternoon take another Launch Cruise on the Kazinga
Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Edward.
Find here solitary Buffalo, Hippos, and a various
number of other animals at the edge of the channel
as they cool off. European migrant birds like
the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks.
Get back to the Camp, Light fire, drinks, lots
of fun Dinner and overnight.
Day 9: You will take a walk in
the Maramagambo Forest to the Blue lake and the
bat caves to see the resident Python and Cobras.
In the afternoon depart for Ishasha sector in
such for the tree climbing Lions. Dinner and overnight
at the camp site
Day 10: After a relaxed breakfast
transfer to the Gorilla sanctuary through it's
beautiful Mountain scenery referred to as the
Little Switzerland of Africa. Dinner and over
night at the Buhoma community campsite.
Day 11 & 12: After breakfast
and briefing from the guides it's off to your
adventure to meet these thrilling great giants.
A packed lunch will be packed for you. Start a
1- 8 Hours trek. Time taken varies to the movements
of these Giants. Only 3 groups of 8 people each
are allowed to visit these Gorillas. So the rest
could do Forest walk while the others get back.
Day 13: Breakfast at leisure,
depart for Lake Bunyoyi believed to be one of
the deepest craters lake in Africa. In the afternoon
take a canoe ride or do some crazy fishing around
the evergreen islands. Meals and overnight at
Bunyonyi overland camp.
Day 14: Full day at Lake Bunyonyi
Bird watching ,canoeing and fishing. Meals and
overnight at the Bunyonyi overland camp.
Day 15: Travel to Lake Mburo
National Park where the Zebras are a guarantee
you will also be able to see the Impala, Topi,
Eland Uganda Cob and other game. Meals and Overnight
at the camp.
Day 16: Early morning game drive
and after lunch travel to Kampala overnight at
the Red Chilli or Blue mangoe.
Day 17: Proceed to Jinja to Tour
the Source of the Nile , Visit the Bujagali Falls.
Do the white water rafting on the Mighty River
Nile at Bujagali Falls. You will be provided with
rafting gear as you ride and flip over through
the big world class grade five rapids with Adrift.
(Do not need to have rafted before).Amazing barbecue
at the lunch at the island. Dinner and overnight
at Nile River Explorers campsite.
Day 18: After breakfast depart
for Entebbe en route visit Ssezibwa falls, have
a tour, shop for craft and souvenirs at the National
theater craft village. Dinner and overnight at
J-courts or Savannah Campsite.
Day 19: Departure, if your flight
departs late, there are many activities do to
in and around Entebbe like biking, forest walks,
swimming in the nearby swimming pools or lake
that are 10 minutes walk away.
The cost of this safari will be US $3000 per person
for a minimum of 6 people traveling.
The above cost includes :
All ground transport based on our fully equipped
4WD Vehicle with pop roof, fuel & Mileage,
Driver/guides, Camping fees, Park Entry
Fees, 3 coarse meals, Launch trips, Rafting on
the mighty River Nile doing the world class grade
5 rapids, Ferry crossing fees, Chimpanzee trekking
, Ranger guide fees
and Game drives.
The above cost excludes:
Items of personal effects, bar bills,
tips, personal insurance, air charters and
laundry.
NOTE: Gorilla permits costs US $ 375
each. They must be booked at least 3 months in
advance.
